collisions series (2013-19)
I started 2013 working with pasting tables as material for my objects and paintings of my series “collisions”. As the first artist using this material for a series of artworks, I work directly with one producer of pasting tables in Thuringia, Germany. So I can influence also the used material and size of the tables. Collisions of material, purposes, opinions and issues. What interests me besides the transformation of an everyday object into a piece of art, is a playful approach and break with the sublimity of art. Thematically, my work is always about the “in-between” - the tension between concrete and abstract, tangible and transparent.
